This service will include music, learning and worship appropriate for families with young children. NEW THIS YEAR: Seating for this service is on a non-reserved basis, but tickets are required. B'YACHAD: Elementary School Age Family Service For families with children in grades K-6. In Sher-Lopaty Chapel from 10:30-11:45 a.m. on both mornings of Rosh Hashanah (September 21 and 22) and on Yom Kippur (September 30). Each of these services will have Rabbis, Torah reading, Shofar blowing and special learning experiences. Parents are required to be with their children at this service and seating is reserved. If you don't already have tickets for Tot Shofar or B'Yachad, we encourage you to attend our Afternoon Family Service offered at 4:00 p.m. on the first day of Rosh Hashanah and on Yom Kippur in Malkin-Burdorf Hall AFTERNOON FAMILY SERVICE on Rosh Hashanah Day One and Yom Kippur at 4:00 p.m. will be led by a VBS rabbi and a cantor and blend the best parts of the existing family-oriented services. Seating for these services is "open" (unreserved) but you do need a High Holiday ticket to enter VBS for the service. You can specifically request seats for the 4:00 p.m. Afternoon Family Service with your membership (no extra charge). MINYAN KOL HADASH, also known as the "Playground Minyan," is a traditional service with contemporary melodies, led by lay leaders and rabbis. While this is primarily an adult service, children do attend and are encouraged to participate. This year the Playground Minyan will be held in an air conditioned tent on the Turf Field. Services begin at 8:00 a.m. on Rosh Hashanah (September 21 and 22) and at 7:30 a.m. on Yom Kippur (September 30). Kol Nidre services for the Playground Minyan begin at 7:00 p.m. (September 29). Tickets are required, but seating in this service is open (not reserved). KOL NIDRE (September 29 in the evening), teens and families with children are welcome to attend the B'Yachad family service in the Turf Field Tent. The service begins at 5:30 p.m. and will end at approximately 6:45 p.m. Seating for that service is open/unreserved.
