Chabad of the Beach Cities: Shul for Kids!
Saturday, July 30, 2010; 10:30-11:30AM; Shul for Kids is a structured and fun-filled Shabbat program enabling children ages 2-7 to attend Shul in a meaningful way while allowing their parents to enjoy davening without worry. Under the guidance of experienced staff, children pray, sing, snack and learn about the weekly Torah portion, after which they join the main service for the lifting of the Torah. Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue: Shabbat at the Beach!
Friday, July 30, 2010; 7PM; The Malibu Jewish Center & Synagogue holds Summer Shabbat Services on Westward Beach, at the south end of Zuma, across from the Sunset Restaurant. Rabbi Judith Halevy and Cantor Marcelo Gindlin lead us in song as the crowd gathers, beach blankets in hand. The early birds stake out a good spot and bring picnic dinners. Surfers have even been know to show up in wetsuits! More often than not, the dolphins join us as well... Camp Avraham Moshe is a summer day camp for Jewish youth with special needs. Temple Isaiah Preschool: Special Education Class
Important Announcement! Temple Isaiah Preschool will be opening a Special Education class for 2-3 year olds in September 2010. This class will meet from 12:30-3:30 pm, 5 days/week and will be designed specifically for children who need an intensive special education environment and who cannot be mainstreamed in typical classrooms. This self-contained classroom will be served by special education staff, including an occupational therapist, psychological services, and program administrators who will work with LAUSD and the Westside Regional Center. Teacher/child ratios will be smaller than in typical classrooms. Temple Isaiah welcomes children of all levels of observance.
